get a cap, burn out your alternator...seems simple enough to me...did you read my post?

or are you one of these salesman who seems to think EVERY stereo needs a cap, and that a capacitor is the answer to all of your power problems? I did say that a capacitor does have its uses in certain applications...for voltage regulation in an SQ application a cap is a good idea and is useful...in an SPL car or a daily driver car for your typical basshead, a cap really does more harm than good...

now, for some clarification...there are competitiors who use batcaps...typically 5 farads or larger...these are useful in certain aspects of competition because they do last long enough to be useful IN THE LANE...and they typically shut the stereo off inbetween runs in the lane to allow the batcap to recharge...for competitors on smaller scales, like in local competitions, where you arent looking to hit 165 or 170 db, a cap will also move you up on the competition scale, so now you are competing against guys with better stereos typically, and greater modifications...and that usually means you place lower...

some points to consider...
