I was playing my music at about 25 then suddenly a chain reaction happened, head unit then amps and subs...Power went from head unit it turned black like there is no power runnin to it at all...I used all the stock wires from the harness of the car I'm thinking The power source might have shorted out, possibly couldve been a cut in the wire ...power to ground..etc... So I probably should go back to the test kit huh because the head units fuse looks fine but then again I found out from a reply to a previous post and experience that a fuse doesn't have to look blown to be blown, possibly should use a 12volt connection with a small inline fuse huh...that'd be smart thats what I did for the tv. Let me know what yall think

If the head unit cuts out, that would cause the amps to shut down, and subs to quit playing.

Pull the deck and verify with a meter you have a good (12 volts or better) constant, accessory and ground. Check for any pinched wires or any exposed wire strands that could have touched metal. It's possible you have a blown fuse. Yes, you could bypass the power, accessory, and ground in the harness and run your own. Just be sure to tape off or insulate any wires you don't use.

also, if you have fuses in the fuse panel, or back of head unit anywhere check them. some head units seem to hide fuses. and if its aftermarket, try plugging the stock in and if that plays it may just be the head unit. happened to a friend of mine once.
