hi, i just purchased an impulse 990 off ebay and the guy didn't send instructions. he tried to sell me his instructions for 6 bucks, so i bought it. i have installed everything but nothing seems to happen. im pretty sure i have wired everything up correctely. i have a 1998 honda civic ex 2 door. i know there's power running to it, but nothing seems to happen when i press the remote except for a little clicking sound from the system. can you please help me w/ my wiring or would you know the contact number for the company or to somehow activiate the remote? thank you. i am a big fan of ur site.

Make sure that you have your remote control programmed properly . Make sure that your ignition wire is connected to the proper ignition wire on the Honda otherwise the unit will not work.

Hi

I had that problem with Impulse Res-R I had to program the remote control this way (I hope this will help u)

1 turn the ignition to the "ON" position

2 Press and hold the valet switch until the system honks or flashes (to indicate ready to learn status

3 Press button #1 of the new transmitter once (the system will honk or flash to indicate learned remote

when done turn ignition off  and try to use you remote

Sorry to "Bash",  but I think this should be a lesson to people to not buy this Brand of Alarm or remote starter.   In my opinion, they are junk and nothing but a hassle.   There are so many other reputable brands out there that it's not always the best idea to save a few bucks.
