I just installed a DesignTech International AutoCommander Mdl. 20921. the truck starts, lights light, but the blower does not come on. The instructions and wiring diagram from DTI are as follows:

Start - Yellow (+) 10Ga?

Ign #1 - Blue (+) 10Ga?

Ign #2 - GREEN/ Red (+) 10Ga?

Ign #3 - RED / White (+) 10Ga? Installed with a relay.

Access - BLACK/ Org (+) 10Ga? <- (Found this one) & Dk. Green <- (Can't find this one)

Brake Light - WHITE/ Tan (+) 16Ga

Park Lights - BLACK / YELLOW (+) 16Ga.

I have been in the column harness and the only green wire there is like 18/16Ga and it's not dark in color. I would have to pull the column cover off again to verify it is solid green. Any ideas as to how I can get the blower going?

Use your DMM to find this other acc. wire.  It will register +12V in on position, and drop out to 0V as you crank the engine.  This is definitely why your heater fan won't come on.

SUCCESS!!!!

Thanks to all that helped.

I had to remove the large connector to the switch to find the wire (it was dark green at the top far side of the connector). The wire was buried in the harness, that's why I couldn't find it, too many heavy wires. Anyway, it's a complete success and everything works well.

Again, Thankyou
