Perhaps the car has a factory alarm, and you need to use the pink/black on the light geen/orange?
Instead

No factory alarm, just keyless entry.

Interesting. Try the pink black on the WHITE/ green. There are a few WHITE/ greens....   try to see if you have the right one by using a multimeter. You will get one voltage for lock, and a different one for unlock.
I seem to remember a lighter green stripe.

Well the time ran out for tonight. I did try the pink/black module wire instead and same result. The wiring diagram I have calls for wht/drk green. That is the one that I used, but there was another wht/light green wire. I will test that one tomorrow.

Ok, finally made it back to Circuit City. They looked the vehicle up in their magic computer and it says must use relays. Now here is what I have......I have the 451m relay pack  and the proper resistors (620 and 2700). How do I hook it all up. I know the 3 pin plug will plug into the alarm (autopage 855rs), but what do I do with the resistors and 5 wires from the relay pack? Thanks in advance guys.

So, you don't need the 457C any more.
On the piece of paper that comes with the 451M, there will be a chart. Your car fits into the bottom of the chart.... 2.7K, and 620ohm.    Polarity positive.
The purple gets 12V, the 2.7K ohm goes on the GREEN/ black, the 620ohm goes on the blue/black. These then get tied together, post resistor, and connected to the WHITE/ light green at the door harness. The same wire you were using with the 457C. You will not require the white or the brown wires of the 451M.
Gus
PS: Are you sure you are on the right wire?? There are a few WHITE/ green there... but only one will show about 6.5V on unlock, and 4V or so on lock (or vice versa, I can't remember the evact voltages right now)
