Sub is making wierd noise

I never would have thought it either..having heard the sound myelf. I couldn't imagine something like stickers on the back of the magnet. But trust me, the holes in the back of the magnet are functional and it keeps the sub from working right. They'll hit harder when he gets the stickers off.

I had the same symptoms, it sounded like something was loose or a voice coil was acting stupid, and once I got the stickers off, they sounded great.

This isn't my first set of speakers man...just have the guy take the speakers out of the enclosure, I'm sure he'll be surprised to see the stickers, and when he gets them off it will sound a lot better.

Heck, he could even contact Diamond and I'm sure a tech representative will tell him it's a common install mistake.

where's the damn "edit" button??

I just got through re-reading his post, I didn't realize he bought them used and that it's making the noise when he's doesn't have them powered up and he moves the cone..

definately not a sticker issue....
