I wouldn't say that's true at all... Probably an excuse made by some installer somewhere because they had trouble programming them.

Use a Crimestopper with a GM-SL and the install will be a piece of cake.

Most installer I know don't like GM product period .    While other would say GM product seem to have conflict will every brand of remote starter that they have put on. So, pick your poison.Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.

only issues i ever had when we sold Autostart and GM's was the tach signal when the vehicles were cold.... the Autostarts were a little dodgy and we often had to switch to a fuel injector... whereas with the Directed product this was really never an issue.... i just hated all the programming involved...plus Autostart sells to every garage and muffler shop in the country now.....Kevin Gerry

  if u use a injector you get 1cylinder fire i have used crankshaft sensor for tach also.but every installer has its own way to do things.dragon
