Does anyone have a wireing diagram for a '91 maxima with a bose system?  I'm trying to hook up my CD player to it instead of the bose tape deck.

Thanks, but i found that one awhile ago.  It's just for the factory system, not the bose.  My Bose system has about 16 wires comeing from the car harness, whereas the factory diagram only names about 11 i think.  The problem is my back 6 by 9's don't work, although my front speakers do.  I've checked the connections according to the factory diagram, and have failed to find the problem.  Thanks anyways though.

Hey GoldTop,

It is possible to Hotwire this radio for aftermarket stuff.  Looking from the rear of the radio you should see a 5 pin din plug ( Radio Shack 274-003 ).

Starting at the top left and going in a "U" shape the first pin is #3 and is audio ground.  The next is #5 right channel in.  Then the bottom middle  #2 is not connected. The next is #4 and is left channel in.  And finally  #1 is CD on signal.  The CD on requires that a 12+ remote turn-on signal be sent when the CD is on and Zero volts when off.  The audio levels are maxed at 250-350mv.

Turning your CD on turns off your radio but the CD must be turned off before turning on the radio.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Thanks, i'll have to look into that, see what happens.  She's in the shop now getting a new paint job, so it'll have to wait for a bit, but i'll get on it.

Use a Bose interface adaptor. It will save you a headache.

your best bet is to get a Metra 701763 wiring harness and a Metra 40ni10 antenna adapter for you aplication......you have to bypass the bose amps or your you might burn out the radio.  you have to go into the doors for the front speaker amps, they are behind the 4" speaker .......in the back 6x9 all you have to do is jump some wires and you are allset
