I have 2 vehicles w/ a DEI remote start. (562T I believe) (4-Button Remote)

Is there a way to operate both vehicles independantly w/ 1 remote. It is a pain to have to carry to identical remotes on 1 keychain.

yes it can be programmed to two cars for one remote

But.. I don't want both to lock/unlock or start @ the same time.

Would it be using separate channels?

You have to reprogram the button for each car, no seperate channels. Check the install manual for details. So you would have button 1/lock operate vehicle 1 for lock/unlock and button 3/aux for remote start. Then program vehicle 2 for button 2/unlock to lock/unlock and button 4/panic for remote start. Basically left 2 buttons for vehicle 1 and right 2 buttons for vehicle 2.

or go with one of the new models with the P button on the back that allows for true multi-vehicle applications...

The 474 remote that comes with the 562T can be programmed in any configuration you wish. You can have the second car work off any buttons, or set of buttons. For instance, the second car lock could be both left buttons at the same time, unlock could be both right. You can do it any way you want...
