I bought this and do not understand the directions.It has an antenna with it that learns tranmitters.Why is this nesasary?I was under the impression that i would need to connect one wire from my 1/2 second pulse out of my R/S alarm to the 450R.Then just cycle though to the channel i disire.Can anyone clarify please thanks.

oooo forgot to mention that i have a crimestopper 2 way 2016 FM.To learn transmitters it reads H/F(the 450R).Will this work on FM.
