No information is regards to the SmartPass. If it's anything like the SmartKey from Mercedes, there is no bypass for this type of system... yet.

As described in:
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=72399&PN=6
the installers working on mine aren't finding it easy to deal with. Are they just incompetent? I even went with the "high bidder" for the job, and probably the largest car audio place in our city, yet they're obviously having trouble with it. I checked with a lot of other places, and they wouldn't install a system for me. Even Suzuki Canada had no suggestions other than a warning not to tamper with the vehicle's complex electronics.

Hey GV66 If I remember correctly the keyless on the factory fob will continue to work when the vehicle is remote started, but that's neither here nor there. As far as using the factory key fob to control the doorlocks, I haven't come across this as of yet. What type of shop are you dealing with? Big box (Best buy, future shop) or a family owned independent shop?

I don't want to further hijack wblakes' topic, so I'll answer this in the topic I started (link above).
