I had my alarm/remote start installed at a local shop and I had to make some changes with the set up. The guy used some conncectors that I have not seen before.

They are rings that crimp around the wire and then a the other wire has and insultated plug on the other end and they snap together.

I have found the insulated disconnects at several on line web sites but not the ring that crimps around the wire. I don't know what you call it let alone know where to find them.

Please tell me where I can find them online so I can order them.

sounds like a wire tap to me.....3M makes them...you should be able to order them directly from 3M.

Stick with solder John. I realize 3M is a great company with a proven track record, but solder is still the best and with enough practice, it is also a proven time saver in the end.

I found the connectors I was looking for, they are called T-Taps.

I know people say solder but these seem to so much easier.

the first thing I learned about T-Taps was to throw them out!! Solder is the best... but I can't do it all the time. I strip tthe wire I'm taping in to, make a whole, and wrapd it around.. next I wrap 3M tape very tightly aroung the whole thing. I hardly use connectors... but if you do.. you know my motto -

My Personal Installer Note: Connectors are easy, neat, and professional. But do you know how to crimp properly?
