Supplying +12v to purple / YELLOW at the 5 pin connector under the drivers kick panel results in a blown fuse in my supply wire.  Do I have to cut the wire and lose the door release switch to use the remote trunk pop?  thanks.

the wire you nedd is the Violet / YELLOW at the trunk release switch..  You will need a relay to activate this function. Pins 87 and 86 go to  a 12 volt constant wire.    When you find the trigger wire cut it(Violet/ / YELLOW)put the soilinoid side on pin 30.  Then put the  switch side on pin87a.   Finally get the trunk release wire from the alarm (gray) and put it on pin 85.  That should keep you from blowing any more fuses.  Good luck, Brian
