Hello all,

I have a viper 791xv installed in a 1999 WRX sedan.

I have installed 2-stage microwave and the standard shock sensor on the multuiplxed input. Over the last two nights sensor 2 has been getting warning beeps constantly...

Over the night, you can hear the car make a warn sound, then the remote makes it beep and you can hit the button to acknowledge the warn. Maybe 10 mins later it will happen again. This will repeat all night unless the alarm is dis-armed or sensor 2 is bypassed...

Has anyone had this happened before? anything to try? I can try removing the power from the shock and then the microwave one by one, but thats going to be a bit of a pain as its all very well hidden...

ps. i left the shock and microwave sensor adjustments at the standard settings when i installed it all first off..

also the alarm has been working for about 2 weeks with no problems until the other night....

thanks all

Turn down the promity sensor slightly i have found they tend to get more sensitive over time.

You need to adjust the sensors. The factory setting is rarely going to work correctly. Sensor 2 will be the microwave. You should also test the shock sensor too.

because i am using the multiplexed input, Both sensors show up as 'Sensor 2'

is this setup wrong, should these be seperate? I thought it might be the adjustments just needed to be played with but i didn't understand how it could be fine for atleast 2 weeks then start to have dramas?....

if the microwave sensor changes after a while, this could explain it....

thanks

Sensor 1 is the blue wire in the shock sensor harness, sensor 2 is the green wire in the shock sensor harness. It could be reversed....I never remember. How exactly do you have them wired?
