OK this is really starting to wiz me off. For some reason I cannot get the whine out of my left front speakers. Only speakers that whine! I have tried re-arranging the RCA's and power cable, then routed new higher gauge wire a different route then it was going before. Thought maybe since I have 2 speakers on the left front channel maybe one is sending feedback to the other, no that isn't it. OK then maybe it is the RCA's, but then why does only the left front channel whine? Switched the front and rear RCA's, nope that isn't it either. I am now completely stumped on wth is causing the whine! Not only is my car disassembled, but I feel like an idiot not knowing what the problem is. If someone can please help me with this on suggestions or maybe something I missed. My brain is just out of ideas so can some one just add to this of any suggestions of what I could be missing?

Could be the amplifier, could be the speaker wires, could be the speaker. Try swapping right and left speaker wires at the amp and see if the noise switches sides. If it does, there is something going on with the amplifier channel. Pull the amp and get it checked. If it stays on the same side, there is some thing wrong in the wire or in the speaker itself. Look for stray strands, or a damaged speaker wire, or a bad speaker. Also look to see if the speaker itself or the crossover is mounted close to some electrical component. If so, you'll have to move it and try again.

My thoughts, too. Run a jumper speaker wire wild over to the other crossover and test that left side again.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

this is just a wild thought but it could be your current wire to your HU if all of hardware has been grounded properly just run a direct current with a fuse attached from your battery and run inside you car just for testing cause i had that same problem and i did that and it stopped

hmm I did what DYohn said and I think the left A channel is bad. I switched them and the noise also switched seeing as how I hear the front speakers more I flip flopped the channels and now I dont hear the whine but the people in the back seat hear it but faint because there are no tweeters back there. Looks like I will ditch that amp cause I picked it up used for $20, it is a Pioneer.

dunno bout model number as it is mounted where it is even hard for me to remove the amp, but it is yellow and white and has an oval clear plastic on top with a red led to show it is on.

Cool. Just to double check, you said you already tried swapping the RCA cables around and it had no effect, right? In that case I agree with you it sounds like a defective amp. But hey, if it works at all for $20 you are coming out ahead, right? Can’t get whine out of speakers -- posted image.
