Working on a 791 in a 06' H3.  Would like to know if there is a tach wire at the BCM?  Trying to avoid going under the hood for an injector/coil wire.

Thx

Not that I could find. The only one that I used for the H3 is the injector wire at the top/side of the engine

Thanks for the info - pulled the cluster and no Wht wire in the harness.  I probed all the leads going into the cluster and I couldn't find anything that looked like a tach (AC Voltage  1 - 6 volts).  I have to assume the factory tach is using a 'special signal' from the BCM.  Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

If you mess around with the ignition key, you will notice that is impossible to under-crank or over-crank the starter.........go ahead and just bump the key, or even turn and hold it..........the truck will start perfectly every time.
I haven't done an H3 yet, but I've done a handful of Colorado/Canyons with voltage sense, and they work fine.

Thanks for the info - everything is working fine now.   Any ideas why the headlights are pulsing on and off (about every second or two) after a remote start.  It continues to do this after the key is put in and turned to run.  Only after the brake is tapped, does the 'pulsing' stop.  I used DEI's 1603 doc. to do the passlock bypass.

Go into the programming and switch "pulsed" parking lights to constant.

Yeah, the pulsed parking lights are pretty stupid, I think.
The design of your truck is that when the lights are switched off, the daytime running lights are on...........when the parking lights are switched on, the DRLS are off.......so that's why you see the headlights flashing.
