I have Mazda Miata with the viper 791xv alarm installed. i have noticed yesterday that when i engage the alarm, its not locking the doors for some reason. it used to do it before Mazda Miata, Viper 791XV -- posted image. did i pressed some i shouldn't or some wire got disconnected Mazda Miata, Viper 791XV -- posted image. is there any way to reset the system to the default setting or should i go to the alarm guy, let him take a look at it Mazda Miata, Viper 791XV -- posted image.

01-05 miata
common problem is that the connection is bad at the resistor
i usually [buttend]- [resistor]- [buttend]
sometimes, the resistor wiggle alittle. not sure if this is how your installer did it.
take a look at the lock wire

more than likely your resister has come disconected or loose.

if they were a good installer the should have soldered your conections and heat shrinked or tape them up a good you sould always have that resester soldered in line within the lock wire that way it wouldint come loose. if they used but conecters to conect the resister make them fix it and solder it

you must you relays with a 1000ohm resister on the lock wire they probly sold you a 451m for your keyless it could have a blown fuse also i take it it still unlocks but no lock the locking the doors by it self should be being done by the brain. oh does your car lock and unlock with the factory switches?

Power Lock purple  -  door lock control module
Notes: Lock is negative trigger thru a 1,000 ohm resistor. Unlock is a straight negative trigger. MUST use relays.
The door lock control module is under the driver side dash towards the center of the instrument cluster.
Also found at the keyless control module behind the glove box, if equipped.
Power Unlock same as power lock wire
