I'm working on a 1997 Ford F-250 and I'm having problems with the main siren.

I have the main siren mounted above the driver side fender under the hood facing down and two mini piezo's in the a/c vents. I have fried my main siren some how. Its not a wiring issue as far as I know because it worked fine for 3 days until it rained. Then the main siren failed to work. It can't be water damage because I have seen the sirens completely submerged in water for 5 minutes and still completely fuction as normal.

I have also been told that I need to diode isolate the mini piezo's and the siren but on another truck (1996 Ford F-150) we have 2 main sirens and 2 mini piezo's of which are not diode isolated on and it has never had a problem. This truck also has a main siren mounted underneith the bed and it constantly exposed to water and still has never once had a problem.

Any Ideas or ways to troubleshoot the issue??

I forgot to include that the alarm that the truck is equipped with is the viper 350hv.

when i do mutible sirens this what i doget a relay and take your positve siren output from your brain to 86 ---12volts fused to 87 ---ground to 85 ---the sierns input to 30

yeah use a relay in multiple siren setups.....try another siren.......bah

May the problem be the heat that is frying your siren?
