Holy crap! I cannot seem to find the VSS wire anywhere! The harness on the 06 Explorer is the Ford 24-pin type. Does anyone know which wire it would be? The harness is very different from the 05 model. My factory audiophile system had speed sense capailities. If I do find the wire, how can I test it using a digital ohm meter? What setting do I use and what do I connect?
Ford also changed the antenna connection. What adaptor should I use?
Thank you guys so much! I have spent over 4 hours looking for that damn thing. Everything else is done.

You want to use a chrysler 40-cr10 antenna adapter. You can find the speed wire @ the PCM under the hood on the passenger side it's a PURPLE / orange wire. It's in pin 1 of a 50 pin plug from what I remember the PCM has 3 plugs and it's in the middle one real easy to get to.

The VSS wire is also found at the windshield wiper motor, pin 4.

OK, I fould the ORANGE / purple wire at the PCM. Does this wire pass through the firewall already?
About the windshield wiper motor: How do you get to it and is there a harness on the inside of the firewall already?
Basicly, where can I pick up the VSS wire on the cabin side of the firewall? I really don't want to mess with those rubber gaskets.
Thank you!
Justin
