I have had poor experiences with that brand very un-reliable. Try ultra starters.

I have been installing them for years now. Easy to program and seem quite reliable. Transmitters are their weak link though. They just dont seem to hold up very well.

I installed 2 crimestoppers, they work fine. The problem is the keyfobs die quickly.
Crimestopper charges $45.00 for a replacement.
Just keep that in mind.

I have  owned a few shops and we carried crimestoppers in all 3, but in the last year nothing but problems so we dropped that line. key fobs die or loose program, the rs1304 is decent but the rest of them suck especially the 2 ways!!!

I had the RS900VII in my old truck (recently totaled) and thought it was pretty good performer for the price ($65 on eBay).

Im currently bidding on the same unit (I think its a 2+ yr design and dropped from their current line-up) on eBay and my question is will I be able to program my spare remote (from my other vehicle) to this new unit as an extra if needed???

TIA!

As long as they are the same version ie VII. Rs900VII were pretty solid units we installed many of them without troubles back in the day.
