i have a clifford rs alarm that has a remote start. recently it stopped working. the car will jsut about start then jsut stop immediately. then keep trying for the certain amount of times. but when i start the car with a key it works fine. what could be causing this. the last thing i want to do is pay someone to fixe this. i have a 92 firebird. it was the VAT bypass module for the remotre start.

thanx.

does the car start, and then immediately shut down, or does it not start at all?

Sound like your tech wire is not working.  Double check the tech wire and reprogram it to the Clifford alarm and this will fix the problem.  Good luck..

turn the car on, press and hold the valet switch intill the led lights up, if it dosent then its your tach wire, not tech.
