I have a 2003 VW jetta 1.8 turbo. This is the scenario: I have a 550 esp and I arm it.I go to disarm it after 5 seconds. The viper disarms but the factory alarm stays armed the doors will not unlock. But if I disarm the alarm within 5 seconds the alarm disarms both OEM and viper and doors unlock. If it is remote started the alarms will disarm and doors will unlock. My installer said that the system sleeps after 5 seconds"the oem".Any suggestions would be helpful!!

Still looking for that info? Tell ya what, call up your VW dealer and try to get them to give you a diagram of the alarm wiring then email it to me and I'll take a look at to see if i can find out what to do. Also, see if you can find a haynes or chiltons manual, anything with factory wiring diagrams.

Have you tried the double pulse on the viper? If that dosent do it, what you can do it check the wries at the factory alarm moudle and find one the goes 12vlts or ground with you turn the key in the door to unlock and wire a realy to that to disarm the alarm.

Well on the viper, there should be a 2 pin orannge plug. One of the wires should be lt. GREEN/ black

85 12vlts

86 LT. Green black from alarm
30 ethier to 12vlt or ground, depending on if the wire goes 12vlts or ground when you turn the key in the door to unlock
87a not used
87 to the wire that is changes to ground or 12vlt when key is turned
