We just bought a 2006 chevy impala. The dealership cut us a third key but they told us that only 2 keys could be programed to the car at one time. I'm calling BS. Does anyone know if the following instructions will work for programing a key? I've searched through these forums but i couldn't find any info. Thanks.

Definitely BS. There is a maximum, but it surely more than 2. I know for a fact that it'll hold at least 3 for sure.
Programming instructions are in your owner's manual for the car.

As Chris mentioned, the instructions to program a new key are in the owners manual. The car can accept another 9 keys.

It just says to contact a dealer for additional keys, does anybody know if those instructions will work?
