OK first one I have installed a remote start on. Any tips on removing the lower dash with airbag??

Not sure if he did he was borrowing my log in.  I haven't done one of these yet but I am assuming that you mean the 3 from the back side that hold the bottom of the dash on? I know he spent a lot of time on it.07 dodge caliber lower dash -- posted image..

that would be them.
I did my first one 2 weekends ago. didn't like running my hood/tach wire over to the passenger side either to go through the only grommet I could find.

Yep  You need to remouved the bold behind ,but not the middle one it's (2) 10mm ,after that pry the plastic cover , the braket +the air bag +the plastic cover will come off as 1 units   you don't need to disconnect the air bag  just pass it throught  the hole off the complette under steering panel  and put it back to it's place temporarely     you should buy the astroshart they will show you how to removed this panel
