I've search "defrost" to death so far and learned a ton about how to connect it to get it to work w/ the R/S.

However, my remote starter has a GWR (ground while running) -250mA wire that I need to use in order to connect my defroster to work.  However, I have learned that the (-) charge to the wire coming off the defroster switch must be "pulsed."  How can I convert my constant GWR (-) charge to a pulsed negative charge to initiate the defroster during remote starts?

Thanks in advance

(btw -- this site ROCKS!! Couldn't have installed my R/S - Doorlock unit without you guys)

Installed an Ultrastart 1270TL (r/s, doorlocks all work great).

I have an auxillary output -- the ground-while-running wire that provides the -250mA charge during the operation of the remote starter --  so I figure I could use this to trip the defroster -- however, I know I need a "pulsed" negative charge to trip the defroster.  How can I convert a constant neg. charge to a pulsed one? Thanks

...to a pulsed ground output.  I'm trying to trigger a rear defroster and the Ultrastart 1270TL only has a constant ground-while-running -250mA output.  Is there a way to convert that to pulsed ground output?  (It is not possible to do this in the brain via programming).

Thx in advance.

You can achieve the effect but this drawing uses a +12V source like the ACC wire of your module
