Hello all,

im having trouble figuaring out how to design a relay to control the side mirror motors on a 1990 Skyline GTR.

Ive installed a compustar pro, and i would like to wire it so that when the car locks the mirrors fold in and when unlock they fold out.

Ive test the switch and this is what i found.

The motor switch is on the mirror control switch. There is 2 wires controling the motor function on this circuit. Now you have a Lt. Grn/Blk wire and a Drk Grn/Blk.

When you click the switch open, your Lt.Grn/Blk wire is Ground and the Drk Grn/Black is Positive. When you select the switch close it reverses so the Lt. Grn/Blk wire is Positive and the Drk Grn/Blk wire is ground.

The switch is a manual not momentary and when you take out the key the wires become all grounded. And when you put the switch into the middle position of the switch one of the wires goes dead or no polarity on it.

Im really stuck thinking on how to design the relays.

Thanks for the help!

You need 2 relays ,i only do them with clifford alarms because they have timed outputs. One relay send a timed output to lock and the other sends timed unlock similar to sun roof close an open.

Send the car to me for 6-8 weeks and I'll figure it out, free of charge.
