door trigger, 2001 dodge ram

Worked fine for a couple weeks? Then started triggering .....with your truck rolling down the raod?

What did you use for door trigger? And why would it trigger while driving, it shouldn't be "armed" There are 2 possible places to get door trigger. At the keyless

module, OR at an under dash light.

What did you install ? (what type of unit)

Dome light delay maybe... ? If the dome light takes a bit of time to turn off...the alarm will think the door is open.

I believe the unit should be able to be programed to ignore the dome upon arming? Someone else will chime in on this I'm sure.

that is correct Kartuneman.  This is a feature on the alarm.  Its called "door sensor bypass chirp". Look up the manual and turn off the feature

If you used the yellow wire as a door trigger it will give you a chirp.  Only way to stop this is to go an get individual door triggers or turn off door sensor bypass.

again thanks, it turns out my passenger door pin switch got stuck.  what is the dome delay?  thats not standard in all cars is it?

Dome delay is.... after you close the door, it takes up to 30 seconds for the dome light to shut off/down. Some alarms, when you lock and arm, see the dome being on, means the door is open, means someone is breaking in, means it's time to sound the alarm.......
