i have a generic alarm w/ remote start... basic wires...

1 for starter

2 for ignition

1 for acc

2 for power (remote start)

im having trouble with the starting part of the remote start... haha...

hooked it all up. checked it all twice. press the start button and the ignition/acc turns on only for a second then turns off and wont crank engine at all.

i read a thread here about someone with a 91 caprice with the same problem. but im not sure he has the same model. i have the classic L05...

he said something about needing to connect the "neutral safety switch wire" to the remote start. but did not mention where it would tap into the alarm...

any help would be great...

(i also know its not the alarm. i tested it on a bench . outputs and input needs with the transmitter...)
