I purchased a Mopar IT-s (Interior Theft Sensor) to add to my factory alarm system which works with the
remote keyless entry key fob. The truck has been to the dealer 3 times now and they have been unsuccessful
in wiring the IT-s module correctly. Intial trial had the unit wired in the vehicle's harness and the led on the
unit would flash when bumped but would not turn on the dome light nor set off the alarm, it just made a pretty
dongle under the wiring harness. Upon return to the dealer they determined the unit to be defective and
reordered. After 4 days at the dealership it still does not work. Dealer has talked with Mopar and after trying
numerous ideas, the best they can do is get the unit so that it does "arm" but when bumped (which should
trigger the alarm) the unit turns on the dome light and disarms the alarm. My understanding is that the unit
should wire into an existing trigger wire (ie. door or tailgate sensor).
Does anyone have any idea or maybe a wiring diagram for the 2003 Liberty or even a wiring diagram and
operation explanation of the IT-s module?
Thanks in advance.

Notes:
NOTE: Jeep vehicles that use a gray ignition key have an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed when remote starting. Use DEI part number 555C or 555U. *1 Lock is negative trigger thru a 1.4K ohm resistor and unlock is negative trigger thru a 426 ohm resistor. MUST use relays. *2 In the top left corner in a black plug. *3 Parking lights is negative trigger thru a 910 ohm resistor. Headlights is negative trigger thru a 349 ohm resistor. MUST use relays. *4 The driver door trigger is tan and the passenger door trigger is tan/white, use both wires and diode isolate each. *5 The factory alarm disarm is negative trigger thru a 473 ohm resistor. MUST use relay. *6 The BCM (Body Control Module) is attached to the left of the fusebox. Connector 1 is a gray 26 pin plug, and connector 2 is a gray 22 pin plug. *7 The flip up glass pin switch is yellow/white in conn. 1, pin 9 of the BCM. *8 On vehicles with the premium sound system, each speaker is individually amplified.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Thanks Bnluis,
I looked at the installation and found that the dealer attempted to wire the IT-s module into the rear hatch, driver and passenger door triggers. Aparently there's an issue with the IT-s and the wiring on the 2003 Liberty. The tech tells me that Jeep changed the wiring on the 2003 model and it's "backwards" from last year's model.
Anyone have any ideas? Maybe a Mopar tech out there?
