on any unit these days, it will have a factory/oem disarm or arm wire. Connect it and during remote start, it will dissengage the factory alarm. i have dont a few cars with factory alarm. If you dont connect the wires, it will trigger the alarm.

Take the key apart and look to see if it has what appears to be metal windings wrapped around a magnet. If you have this then there is a factory transponder and you will have to bypass it. There is usually a small red dot on the instrument cluster when starting the vehicle that also indicates a transponder.
I like the PKU-CHK2X but my preference with these is to do either a one button system or a lock/lock using the factory transmitter. Chrysler remotes continue to work when the vehicle is remote started and the remote is built into the key so the owner is carrying it anyway. With this bypass you get the transponder bypass functionality and the mux wire output for the PURPLE / brown wire in that vehicle. It cuts down on install time and makes the job much easier. If you decide to use the lock/lock or one button system you do not have to do a factory alarm disarm. The factory remotes handle the alarm and locks and when the vehicle sees the correct transponder with ignition it disarms the factory alarm.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
