Hi
I have had this vehicle in my shop a few times now with some weird problems. I first did the install using the old key in the box bypass and ran into the doors for arm/disarm and to the fusebox/bcm for the lock/unlock. I also did the sliding doors with the 4 relays as per Wiremagic.
The problem my customer had was that every so often the windows would bump down a bit. I think her remote was transmitting to cause some of the problem.
So I opted to install a Datalink DL module to take care of any kind of wiring to the door switch and maybe solve the problem. Well it looks like I opened a new bunch of problems now. The doors and locks seem to work fine. If the vehicle is started within a minute of locking the unit works and starts fine too. If more than a minute goes by then the factory alarm goes off and I can't shut it off with the key fob at this point I have to use the key in the door.
I think the problem is within the Datalink DL. I have tried following tech's advice of unlock pulse before starting. But for some reason that request to the Datalink is ignored. (the buss is still sleeping) So I'm not too sure what to do to reslolve it for now. I have the customer unlocking the door first before starting and that seems to work fine too.
Any other ideas or has anybody else had this issue BTW I'm using a AST 1600 series RS
Thanks
Jon

I would use an xk05 for transponder and an xk01 for the door locks and alarm and also the sliding doors. I've used this setup before with no problems. Best of luck

Factory Arm blue/white to WHITE/ blue (-) driver door module in door
Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder.
Factory Disarm BLACK/ red to white (-) driver door module in door
Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder.
Disarm No Unlock     see factory alarm disarm
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

I'm using a ADS-DLSL HA from Datalink. The problem with using the doorlock key switch in the door is that my RS will emit pulses to disarm for the rear slider doors too. This makes the windows bump down. Believe it or not even with the pulses set at 125 ms they still bump down. So I dare not use the key switch for disarm. The problem either lies with the DL module not waking up the buss system or they are missing a command upon wake up. I think we'll see a correction in the data on this vehicle.
