What ratio are you guys mixing this stuff. eg. aerosil 3 parts, resin 1 part. And also are you guys mixing chopped strand in with the mix or just resin and aerosil.
Thanks for the help in advance.

I cant remember what the mix is I want to say 2 parts aerosil for 1 part resin,  I do know that its just the aerosil and resin, if thats what your using.

You can do a search and find the mixture for sure I know its ben talked about. I'm pretty sure that thats right though.

it depends on the consistancy that you want. a good place to start is for 500 mL or resin i usually put about a quart or additive in it.....i use the 1 quart paint mixing cups for resin and the additives. just start with a 2:1 additive to resin mix and that will get you close to where you wanna be. make sure to mix it really good and let it sit for about 15-30 minutes before you use it so the resin soaks up to the additive.

15-30 minutes before you apply it??????????

Will the resin not harden if you wait that long???????????

Ok guys the mixture i ended up using was just less then 4 parts cabosil to 1 part resin. This seemed to work really well. Nice and thick it came out to almost 1/2"
Thanks for alll the help and replies

ok i like how everything works, heres what i did,  mixed it all up and forgot to add the hardener.  Well i added the mix to the enclosure before realizing to add hardener.  I got as much out as possible and then added hardener to that.  Then i used a heat gun to try and cure it faster, by doing that did i compomise the integrity of the enclosure.

Yes using a heat gun can reduce the strength.  When using a heat gun it cures quicker but acts the same way it would if you overcatylized it.  it cures too quick causing the resin to be more brittle than it should be.

When I use cabosil/resin mix, I just add cabosil until I get a thick enough paste which is still easy enough to spread around..after a few tries, you will know what consistancy you want depending on the application.  for all those using aerosil/cabosil -- posted image.
