Can someone elaborate on this mix?

Hit it with the MM (MiracleMix) (I just did this las night).  1 to 1 parts bondo and resin mix + small amout on hardener that comes with the bondo.  Cures in about 3 hours and it holds like hell.  Finish is glass smooth and it self levels when you paint (the mix you make will be like mustard in consitency).  I would highly recommend this as a finishing coat for ANY FG PROJECT you will save a ton of time in sanding (you'll do maybe 10% of the sanding it would take if you did not use it).

I have half of a center console that is constructed entirely of mdf.  I'd like to coat the surface with resin, bondo or whatever to save on $$$.  High build primer in spray cans is much more expensive than resin and bondo.  Any more input on the above mixture?

Thanks,

TCalYen

If you use it just be sure it is not too thin when you mix it. I would reccomend using high build primer for the best and fastest results.

The only problem that I see with using this method. Is that if there is any bump or dips in the project it is going to show with this coating since it self levels its going to mold itself exactly to all those bumps and everything so your still going to have to fix those.

Thanks for the input...  I'm just going to resin over the mdf and then use a high build primer.
