If your lights do not dimm with bass hits, then you should be ok. I have a 120AMP alt, and my lights still dim a bit with my 400Watt Kenwood. They sell those .5farad capacitors that are 16V, and they hold the necsessary charge for amplifiers. The drain is right from the Capacitor, rather than the battery.
If you want to run the stuff with the car off, another Battery in parallel will work, but you still need an isolator block, because NO identical battery is the same, no matter WHAT. SO, if you have TWO of the same batteries, the current will never be the same between the two, so isolate them.

caps are great BUT, a 200 amp alt will cure any power problems with the amps you listed. you have to have the power to charge the cap. caps don't generate power they store and release it in mili seconds. a cap will make your old alt work harder.PM Big Purds he has a alt guy e-mail that will help you.

Hey everyone...anyone know where I could get an alt for a 2000-2002 Hyundai Accent 1.5 Sohc? Putting in new stereo and just want to be safe for power..was thinking about putting in voltmeter to watch power and it's kinda showy.

Cheapest altenator upgrade that will last is to get an Ambulance alternator, they will last as long as a regular alternato but push about 200 amps abd can run upto 16volts (most equipment will handle 15.5 volts saftely)
