2001 Grand am

Can any tell me how to get the dash off of a 2001 grand am so I can put in a cd player. Thanks alot

It's actually quite simple:  First tilt your steering wheel all the way down to make some room for the panel.  Second, begin pulling the panel off with a slow and controlled effort (this is the best way to ensure the clips stay on).  It's pretty easy to tell where the clips are, as the panel will flex when you get to one.  You should be pulling where the clip is as well so you don't run the risk of breaking the panel.  After you get all of the clips off, tilt the steering wheel down, but don't let it lock itno place.  Instead, hold it down right at the bottom while pulling the panel out over the steering wheel.  As you're working it over the wheel, you should also press the 4-way button and slide the panel over it.   This will get you the needed space to get the panel out.  Good luck.
