I have a customer that wants to put a headunit in his 1979 Malibu Classic.  I have never worked on a car this old.  Does anyone know if they make a wiring harness or an install kit for this car?  Or do you have to rewire the whole thing.  If you do, other than the speaker wire and the constant +12volt wire, what other wires need to be run and where would you splice into?

you will need to run a wire from the deck to the acc wire this will alow the deck to shut off when the key is in the off position. In a car that old i would run new speaker wire anyway
