Hi, new to the forum.

Quick question on a dual mono drive I have two amps and love them KAC-8152D not many people like them but hey.

I read online about setting them up to a dual mono drive. I will currently be running 1 12" Sub TS-W1207D4 which I am in the process of aquiring. I would be running the amps in a Dual Mono Drive setup and the sub wired in parralel (2 ohm load). Will the Dual Mono drive be sufficient enough? Does Dual Mono Drive mean that I am making 2 amps into 1?

Yep, exactly what it means. It is also called "bridging" and requires using amplifiers designed for this and usually some sort of slave cable between the two amps.

Perfect, Just needed some clarification on it. Do you think it will be enough power for that sub?

For best results make sure that your amps are adjusted identically. follow the diagram and you should be fine. I think you should have enough pwer.

I thought this was called "strapping".

There is no such thing as free installation!

Kenwood seems to call it Dual Mono Drive.... Kinda makes sence, maybe its there way of calling it like AMDs Hyper Transport and Intels Hyper threading?

So you said you are using the model 8152? Literature says it is not dual mono drive like the 9152.
