i have installed a remote starter and bypass chdl-4,in a 2002 jeep liberty ,the remote starter starts and everthings working great except the parking light isnt hooked up, The parking light output from the remote starter can be neg(-) or pos(+), i have purchased a relay and a 1000 ohm resistor, the parking light wire is located in the headlight switch and is GREEN/ orange (-), but im not 100 % sure how to wire this up, im assuming that i can wire a neg(-) to pin 87 and pin 86 on the relay and the remote starter parking output pos(+) to pin 85 and the the 1000 ohm resistor from pin 30 to the GREEN/ orange wire at the headlight switch?  is this correct? thanks for any info or suggestions.

easiest way to do it, set your starter for (-) output, get a 1amp diode and a 750 ohm resistor, wire the diode (band towards starter) first then the resister onto your negative parklight wire to the lt.GREEN/ orange wire at the steering wheel harness.

I'll confess that I just skip the resistor, connect them straight negative, and they still work fine.
