im putting an ungo rs251 on a 2002 f150 and am a little confused. ho do i tie it in with the factory doorlocks and alarm? one other thing what is gem?

Negative pulse, type 'B', on keyless entry models. Five wire, type 'C', on non-keyless models, mastered from the driver switch.The GEM in this vehicle shuts down after the doors have been locked for a certain time period, to 'wake-up' the system . The GEM is the module that turns off accessory power to portions of the truck to save power. Do you have a keyless entry model truck or no ? If you have a keyless entry model truck thenall you have to do is hook up the door lock wires from the RS251 to the wires listed above. If you do not have the keyless entry in the truck then you need to use this diagram to hook up the door lock wires above :

  5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive Door Locks
