I finally getting around to installing my alarm. I just found the wiring diagram on here so that will help to find the right wires....

The wires for the remote start. I saw all the wires running up the steering column when I was doing some other stuff. Are the thick wires the ones that are used for the remote start?

I'm going to be adding a battery back up alarm plus 2 of the mini piezo sirens inside the vehicle. I was told that I need to use a relay. What wire coming off of the alarm brain do I use to run into the relay?

Thanks

Yes the larger wires are the ones you will be connecting the remote start wires to.

You will need to connect the siren output wire of the alarm to terminal 86 of the relay.  Ground terminal 85 of the relay.  A power wire from the battery with a 10 amp fuse at the battery connects to terminal 30.  Terminal 87 is to be connected to the 3 power wires from the 3 sirens.

I finally got started on this the other day. As of today I got all of the wires(sirens) ,except the tach wire ran from under the hood to inside of the vehicle. Their was already some 8 gauge ran from the battery to inside the vehicle to under the dash. I was going to use this wire for the alarm brain 12v constant plus all of the other sensors, relays etc. that need 12v. Is it OK to use this wire for them all? All of the 12v wires that run into this one will have it's own fuse and the 8 gauge has it's own fuse at the battery. What size fuse should I put at the battery?

Here is a list of everything that is getting installed. Some of it I was going to use in my last car but never did so it's new in pack.

Viper 5900

DEI 508D Dual zone motion sensor

DEI 506T Audio sensor

DEI 520T Battery Back up

DEI 530T Power window system for both front windows

DEI 515R Back up siren/battery (have 2 of these but only have 1 installed right now, probably only use 1 unless someone suggest using the 2nd one.)

DEI 513T mini piezo siren (I have 3 of these)

I'll probably start on the inside tomorrow. Today I was trying to figure out where to put everything etc. Also was going through all the wires from the alarm and seeing what I need to use and what I dont need. One harness I'm not sure about is the H2 harness. it has the light GREEN/ black(factory disarm),gray/black(wait to start input), GREEN/ black(factory arm), violet.black(200ma channel 4 output), WHITE/ black(200ma channel 5 output), light blue(2nd unlock output).

Most of it sound like it's for hooking up to a factory alarm? viper 5900 in 96 blazer -- posted image. I wasnt going to use channel 4 or 5 ouput right now but what is some things that I could use them for?

Next thing is I plan on hiding the alarm brain in the center console. The shock sensor wire will need to be longer. Is is OK to make them longer? Or would it be Ok to just mount it some where in the front of the center console? I have my alpine processor hidden under the storage compartment area in the console. This will be taken out in the spring and put in the back of car but will all of the wires running close together like that cause any interferance?

Last question is about the 508D. How does this get hooked up? I know it just ties in with the green and blue wires on the shock sensor? Only thing is with the directions for 506T audio sensor. It comes with a new wire harness that connects the shock sensor and 506T together and it just plugs into the alarm brain. With it like this their is only about an inch of green wire sticking out of the one sensor box. I saw a few people mention about diodes in other posts. Will I need one to hook up the 508D with the shock and 506T audio sensor? Or is their a better way to hook up these 3 sensors so the all work right?

Sorry about all the questions. I'm just trying to get it all sorted before I start installing it all.

Thanks
