Hi all,
I have a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX and this car came with a Compustar 2W900FMR. I have added a 2nd Siren into it about a couple months ago. Everything was working fine, and all of a sudden my siren's no longer at work at all. I noticed that the siren wiring got caught up in the clutch pedal and that may have damaged it. So I replaced the entire siren wiring with thicker wires and it still doesn't work. I have checked all the fuses, even disconnected the 2nd siren, but it won't chirp. So I call it a night and go to lock the car, it wont lock now either WTH. I have no idea why it would stop locking. I even tried driving the car to a stop, taking the key out of ignition so that it goes into reservation mode and locks itself no go, it just shuts off. When I go to lock the car the remote beeps indicating that something is still open (door, hood, trunk etc) I opened and re-closed everything still no go. Tomorrow I am going to disconnect the battery and let it reset itself, if it still doesn't work I have no idea what to do then. If anyone has any suggestions/thoughts that would be great.
Thanks
Darvesh

sounds like you blew something, try opening the case and see if there is any internal fuse in it

As james bond 007 said, you blew the transistor ouput for the siren, when it grounded.
Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

Clifford product before it was DEI was the same.  Blow that transistor and it took out locks and aux outputs.
