I am getting ready to install a remote start on a 2007 dodge caliber and have an extra xk532 bypass module for it.  I just installed the same module on my wifes 2008 dodge avenger.  so I am looking on -line trying to see if this module will work for the 2007 dodge caliber. it's doesn't really say if it will work for that make and model car but it's says that the pku-ch2x will work.  I was told a while ago that the pku-ch2x and the xk532 are the exact same module.  just wanted some help on that issue

another issue.  on my wife's 2008 dodge avenger,  I finally got the remote start working and everthing is as it should be except that when she remote starts the car, the horn has about a 2 second long beep when it gets ready to start.  I have a new born baby and don't  want him to wake up while she is warming up the car.  can anyone help to get rid of this annoying beep when her car starts.   thanks

Rick

my charts say it is compatible with the caliber with the CHDL7 Firmware
as for the 08 all i get it that the xk532 will not disarm the factory alarm for remote start.
it says to unlock and relock the doors or a pulse before start on the PURPLE / brown wire in the ignition harness with a negative 8.5 Kohms resistor. that if it disarms on placing the key into the ignition and a 1.47 Kohms if you have to turn the key
hope that helps
also note that if the horn honk with the factory fob it will honk with the xk532 when locking, unlocking the doors. if the starter is locking the door after start. that might be part of the honking.
i am sure there is a way to turn off the honking with door locking, but am not sure not dodge. look in the manual you might be able to turn it off.
i think i would try that first.

here are some directions for turning off the horn honks and some say that stoped theres from honking on remote start
hereare the keyless entry steps that turned my horn honk off on the first try....
1) press and hold the LOCK button on the key for atleast 4 seconds, but less than 10 seconds
2) Continue to hold the LOCK button and then press the PANIC button while continuing to hold the LOCK button
3) Release both buttons at the same time
This process can be used to turn it off or on, just repeat the steps. If you accidentally set off the horn during this process by pressing PANIC, press it again to turn it off.
