I have installed the RS750 on my '00 Ford F250 SuperDuty.  Everything worked fine for the first 2 months, until my battery started going bad.  When trying to use the remote start feature, the starter was having a hard time turning over the engine, so it didn't start.  I was able to start the truck with the key.  This happened a couple of times, and then the remote start just stopped working.

I replaced the battery, and I tried reprogramming the remote start.  But, when I press the remote, the truck does nothing, not even the parking lights come on.

Also, I noticed that now my heater/AC stays on even when the engine is off and the key is out of the ignition.

Does anyone have any ideas what would cause this?  I tried replacing the relay on the remote start, but that didn't help.  Is this covered under the warranty even though I installed it myself?

Thanks.

Bryan

try unplugging the wiring harness fron the 750 and see if the problem with the heater a/c is still there, if it's there then you have a problem with wiring in the truck, if it's gone then there is a problem with the starter!!

Well,

I traced the problem down.  I was able to reprogram the remote start and it started working again.  The problem is that after a few minutes, it looses the programming and stops responding to the remote.

It seems like maybe something is fried in the "brain" of the alarm.  Anyone have any ideas?  If this is the case, is it difficult to get AutoPage to honor the warranty?  Anyone else had experience dealing with AutoPage for repair issues?

Thanks.
