I installed this u450 in my brother's 200 ram 1500. I used the green wire -neg. door trigger input and soldered it to the yellow wire at the headlight switch. I tested that wire and know its good. The issue Im having is that the u450's led stays lit constant with the doors shut. it should only do this when the doors are open, or when it is in valet mode. when I open the doors with the alarm armed, it doesn't trigger the alarm. At first I thought maybe the wires were backwards in the alarm harness ( the neg input and pos input) but the the led would shut off when the door is open. this isn't the case, as the led stays on constant unless the ignition is on, or it is armed, then it flashes.

I'm stumped, anyone else come across this issue? I tried 2 differant harnesses, and brains, no luck. I'm thinking about moving away from ultrastart, as over the last 2 years the quality of the harnesses, brains, and sirens has gone to hell. Very dissapointed with them anymore. Anyway if anyone has any ideas, or suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm confused. Why would you connect it to the headlight switch? You either want to go directly to the door pins, or use the domelight, not the headlights...

The yellow wire at the headlight switch is for the dome. Sorry I should have specified that.
