i am installing a dei- valet 551 r/s in my girlfriends 08 scion tc. i have everything tested with my meter and hooked up as the diagrams show. upon attempting to remote start the vehicle, all accessories come on, tach spikes, relays click, but the starter will not engage. i have tried removing the key from the bypass to see if the accessories will still come on and they do not, so that rules out my bypass module. the one thing that comes to mind that might be my issue is the vehicle has 2 starter wires but the valet 551 only has one starter output wire. do i need to cut one of the vehicles starter wires? im lost on what else may be causing this

make sure you power up all ignitions and acc wires.

Starter 1 BLACK (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

yes there is 2 starter wires. connect the first starter output from the valet 551 to starter 1.

on the unit look for a 250ma (-) starter output. with a relay wire it like so.

85 - (-) start from remotestart

86 - constant12v
87 - constant 12v
30 - to second start wire.

You will need to power both of the cars Start wires at the ignition switch.  This will require additional relays to produce 2 Start outputs from the Valet's one Start output.
Soldering is fun!
