Anyone know where I can buy a spool of RED / black wire which is usually for extending the wire on alarm sirens? And what gauge is it?

Thanks.

Speaker wire, quite a thin gauge probably 22 in US wire gauge.

Many distributors carry "siren" wire.  But "lampcord" or "zip" cord works fine and is easier to find locally, and like Howie said 18-22 Gauge is fine.

no need to match the colour of the wire.

often you should have a long strand from the units tach wire, siren or hood pin wire.

or buying some speaker wire will work as well.

Most of the time I hook up the tach wire. Hood pin...not much.  The siren doesnt always come with long enough wire. I dont care about it matching. The wire will be used for other things too.
