Hi,
I badly need the CLiffNet Pro software for my Clifford Concept 600 (G4, Netherlands version) to analyze what is going wrong. Long description follows below. Please email the software to duetto2@puzzled.xs4all.nl. Mailserver has no limits. Alternatively email me a web/ftp location where I can pick it up.
Also, is there a way the Valet PIN code can be retrieved or reset to the factory default? The previous owner of my car had lost it and having experienced this malfunction I really would like to have had that Valet PIN code. Many, many thanks for helping out!!!
Long description:
This morning the Clifford Concept 600 in my 91 Alfa Spider went totally crazy. The alarm had not been switched on yesterday when I parked it. Yet the cops paid me a friendly visit to tell me that the siren of my car was disrupting people's Easter breakfest in a major way (nice to see their community service is in great shape while the country gets robbed blind ;-).
I went over to the car to turn the alarm off wondering how the siren could have been triggered in the first place since the alarm had not been switched on.
Pressing the on/off switch on the remote didn't do anything, the led in the car was off, the head/tail lights on my car were not going on/off like in a "normal" situation where the alarm is triggered. In the end I disconnected the main battery cable and only then did the siren shut up.
I waited for a couple of minutes and connected the main battery again. I heard 4 chirps and then the siren went off again. No led activity, no head/tail lights going on/off and definitely no response to whatever button I pressed on the remote. Had to disconnect the battery again.
Please reply or email me with some tips as to what can be the cause of this behavior and how to solve it and how to retrieve/reset the Valet PIN code. Please also send me the CliffNet Pro software for the Clifford Concept 600 so I can analyze and try to figure out what is causing this abnormal behavior.
My email is duetto2@puzzled.xs4all.nl
Many thanks!
Regards,
Patrick

You don't realize you need the Cliffnet cable to program the Clifford G4 series alarms?

Kinda hard to program the alarm with software, but no cable.

Actually, I have the cable that comes with the standard CliffNet software because I bought that set. As far as I know the cable is suitable to be used with CliffNet Pro software also.
