I'm trying to do a modification that will enable me to actuate the door lock/unlock on my 2015 Honda Civic. I've put the reed switch in parallel with the actual lock/unlock switch on the inside of the car door. This works when I'm in the car, but does not always work if I'm not in the car. In fact, the lock/unlock switch on the inside of the door doesn't always work if I'm not inside the car (e.g. reaching in through the open window). So I have two questions...
1) What is determining when the lock/unlock switch will or won't operate?
2) Can someone provide a wiring diagram or description of the pinout on the connector that controls the actuator. I assume it has a ground, lock, unlock, and probably some sensors that tell it when the door is open, closed, locked, or unlocked.
Here are some pics of the connector in question...

Update: It appears that the door lock/unlock switch continues to operate for a short period of time (minutes) after I get out of the car, but stops working after that. Not sure if that's a feature, or the side effect of some capacitor still having charge. And I guess it doesn't really matter. If anyone can give me the pinout for the connector, I'm pretty sure I can operate it via the reed switch (and relay).
