I've installed a Crimestopper CS2006FM alarm/remote starter in my 2000 Dodge Durango SLT 4x4 without factory security but with keyless entry. Everything works except for one problem (of course, the main reason I bought it!). I can remote start the vehicle, but the AC doesn't turn on. When I insert the key and turn to ignition, then it comes on. So I'm thinking I'm tapped into the wrong Ign2 wire? I'm assuming IGN1 works because the hidden switch works when I turn to ignition. Any ideas? What ignition wires should I be tapping into for remote start?

Also, anyone know where the courtesy light wire is?

thanks.

Hey happyfirst,

You've got to feed the dark blue, GREEN/ red and BLACK/ orange wires.  Also the door trigger wires are seperate left and right.  You'll find these at a black plug in the drivers kick panel, to the right of the parking brake. The BLACK/ blue catches the drivers door and the tan/red catches all other doors.  Use both wires and diode isolate each.   2000 Durango SLT Remote Start -- posted image.

OK, now I got it. I'm all set on the door triggers, I already did them just as you said. Is their a courtest light hookup? Found this website's wiring diagram. I'm not feeding the BLACK/ orange. I'm using a wiring diagram supplied to me by crimestopper and they don't list a HVAC1 wire. The dark blue and greed/red had corresponding hookups on the alarm brain. What wire should I feed the BLACK/ orange with from my CS2006? There isn't a dedicated HVAC hookup on it.  Do I need to use a relay or something or won't I be indirectly joining the black orange with another one? Or it doesn't matter when remote started?

thanks!
