I am planning on installing a Valet 551R system in a 1997 ford taurus and need some help on finding the Tach wire and the neutral safety wire. I know the tach is yellow and black but not sure where in the vehicle it is. Any help on this vehicle would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Might be able to find it by following the wires off one of the coils back.
Also says somethign about a tan / YELLOW wire on the pasanger side firewall PCM unit pin 48..
Let us know
Good Luck
ps. Neutral unless your just really safety concerned you can just ground out this wire. However that might effect the lock/unlock of ign so you could put it to the E brake if that easier.
Anybody know if grounding the wire will mess with ign locks?

tach wire-yellow/white -Coil & Harness behind intake manifold at back of engine compartment.
i usually just ground the neutral. all the cars i worked on, it doesnt let you take out your keys unless you put it in park. it works fine, its the same source.
